Inspection Hatch "Quick View" Retrofit
Why remove an entire plate just for a quick inspection? You now have a choice!
With the "Quick View" inspection hatch retrofit, you can quickly turn your existing old fashioned inspection hatch to the new updated quick view.
Cut from A36 steel. The walls are 1" thick and 2 1/2" tall with a 12" opening.
The lid is cut from 1" thick A36.
The latches are carbon steel and have knurled adjustable stops. This lets you set the seal tightness to adjust for temperature or pressure changes.
The seal, 1/2" round red silicon rubber, is able to withstand temperatures to 600F. It is set into a 1/2" groove with 736 red silicon rubber. This makes seal replacement quick and easy.
These Inspection Hatches can easily be attached to existing inspection doors.
Simply remove the inspection door, cut a hole for the portal and weld the hatch in place.
Here is a hatch mounted to an existing plate ready to go into service.
Hatches are available in two sizes: 12" square and 16"square.
Hatches come unmounted, ready to be welded to any flat steel plates.
Hatches are shipped unpainted. Custom sizing and painting is available.

LOCK OUT TAB FOR ADDED SECURITY
WITH THE LOCKING TAB - THE HATCH CAN BE LOCKED AND NO ONE CAN GAIN ACCESS WITHOUT THE KEY.
NORMAL INSPECTIONS PLATES CAN BE REMOVED WITH A WRENCH - THEY'RE JUST NOT SECURE
